Comparison of UVA output from fluorescent tubes used in Herpetology.
The tests were conducted by placing a UVA meter at different distances from the tubes face (0 inches to 36 inches). The output is measured in microwatts per cm2 (µW/cm2).
Outside on a sunny day, UVA readings are around 2690 µW/cm2.
